"Sea" - previously, the word denoted a blue expanse. Today, it denotes something dark and foul. The former port city of Marseille, a port in the European kingdom of France, overlooks a sea as black as any other. But these very waters are home to something that can be found nowhere else on Earth... a huge artificial island, solid and imposing as a fortress.
