The year is 2090, and wars are being waged around the world using giant machines called wanzers. Hoffman Island, the only border area between the Oceanic Union (OCU) and the United States of the New Continent (UCS), has become the epicenter of the conflict.
The OCU intelligence squad, under the command of Captain Royd Clive, is tasked with conducting reconnaissance at a UCS munitions factory. However, they are ambushed by U.S. wanzers. This ambush is the first in a series of events that will lead to the outbreak of war on the island. Karen Muir, Royd's lover, has disappeared.
After being discharged from the army, Roy begins his own investigation to learn Karen's fate. In his search, he gradually realizes that there is some kind of conspiracy behind the incident.
