In the country of Scotsholm, three centuries have passed since they were first created. Elemental stones are now mass-produced and widely used, making magic a personal and ordinary part of people's lives.
In this time and place lives a girl named Ark Bloomfield. Ark, who has moved with her family to a new home in the city of Tonkins, begins attending the only school in the region... the Minassa-Ratis School of Magic, founded by one of the greatest magicians in Scotsholm history.
But Ark, unaware that she must possess an Elemental Stone to use modern magic, embarks on a small adventure to find one for herself, to avoid burdening her parents with expenses.
