Description: Final Fantasy XV is not related to previous games in the Final Fantasy series. The plot focuses on a young man named Noctis Lucis Caelum, the Crown Prince of the State of Lucis, where the world's last remaining mysterious magical crystal is kept. At the start of the game, the crystal is tricked into being stolen by the hostile, invading nation of Niflheim, sparking a global conflict with other nations coveting the crystal. Noctis and his closest friends embark on a journey to retrieve a lost magical artifact.
The game became the longest-developed title in the Final Fantasy series, spending ten years in production hell. As Final Fantasy Versus XIII, it was developed as part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy subseries, alongside Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Type-0, which share a common mythology. At the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo, it was announced that the game's name had been changed to Final Fantasy XV, marking the beginning of the Fabula Nova Crystallis line. Development was initially led by Tetsuya Nomura, who also developed the character designs and drafted the concept script; in the final stages of development, he was replaced as director by Hajime Tabata. In addition to the game itself, the full-length animated film "Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV" and the anime series "Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV" were also created.
