Eight-Minute Empire ,
designed by Ryan Locat, is a fast-paced civilization/exploration game that uses a card system to control territories.
In Eight-Minute Empire, 2-5 players take turns selecting a card from the six displayed. This card grants the player a resource and also has an action that the player performs immediately. Actions help players control the map, but resources count as points at the end of the game, so players must strike a balance between the two sides. Players spread across the map to collect points at the end of the game by controlling the majority of territories and continents.
