Information:
Several hundred convicted criminals were shipped to the Orga System aboard the prison ship "Success." While this was presented as an opportunity to regain their standing in society through hard work for the greater good, they actually understood that they would be cheap labor, sent to colonize an unexplored planet. All they knew about Orga Prime was what the exploratory craft had told them: it had water, temperate zones, plant life, and plenty of minerals in the crust.
In fact, the planet Orga had once hosted a large settlement of the ancestors of the galaxy-traveling travelers known as "The Infinites." In addition, the planet was still orbited by a functioning (and well-hidden) defense system, which was enthusiastically activated upon the arrival of the "Success." Within a few minutes, the ship was nothing but large chunks of metal raining down toward the planet.
Each cluster of detention cells also served as escape pods, so the ship allowed itself to disintegrate, and the surviving prisoners fell injured but (temporarily) alive and (momentarily) safe to the planet below. Safe, until they realize they've crashed through some kind of infinity facility, into an underground vault so deep and ancient it could be called a dungeon...Minimum
