Description: The game begins shortly after the events of Doom. The player once again controls the nameless marine from the game, who dealt with the forces of Hell on Phobos, Deimos, and Mars in the original game. Once he arrives in his home planet, he discovers that it, too, has fallen victim to a monster invasion.


Over the course of 30 levels (excluding two secret levels), the player once again faces hellish hordes. At one point, he learns that a few surviving Earthlings are at the spaceport. With his help, they escape on a transport ship. The hero remains the only living being on the planet and calmly awaits death, convinced that human civilization has been saved and will be able to be reborn again somewhere in the depths of space. But a few minutes later, he receives a message from the fugitives stating that they have discovered a place from which the forces of Hell have invaded our reality. The marine reaches the dimensional portal, but sees no way to close it. In search of a solution, he goes to Hell. Eventually, the hero finds the home of a huge demon and kills it. In agony, the demon destroys Hell, and the invasion of Earth ends.
