Daedalic Entertainment, formerly known as "LucasArts of Germany" by GameStar magazine, invites players to a wonderful comedy adventure revolving around the crazy love story of Rufus and Jules.
In Deponia, the world has become a vast garbage dump, where the gloomy Rufus lives his miserable life. He is part of the lowest social class, doomed to live out his life among mountains of trash. He hopes for a chance to enter the world of the wealthy, who live in a floating city above the clouds. Fate seems to smile on the useless swashbuckler when one day, an attractive lady named Jules from the upper sector falls into one of the trash heaps. Rufus decides to help the young lady by returning her to her husband. When he notices that Jules' husband looks just like him, he hatches a diabolical plan to reach the upper world. However, things don't go as planned, as he develops feelings for the beauty that border on his usual amorality.
