Information
Join the Harewood House Ghost Watching Night Vigil. As part of the Paranormal Investigation Group (OPG), explore haunted buildings and investigate long-reported ghostly sightings in the Wolfenden area. Grab your ghost-hunting tools and solve the mystery surrounding this derelict building.
The aim is to prove the existence of 'ghosts' through paranormal experiences. The location is Harewood House, which has a disturbing history, waiting to be enjoyed, by you. We, the Oxford Paranormal Group, believe the building is haunted, not by one unknown entity, but by several. The OPG has placed several live remote cameras and experiments throughout the building. Harewood
House has now been empty for 4 decades, but you can be the eyes in the dark... watching... waiting. Find out what happened.
The house was built in 1747, as a country home for Mr. Harewood, his wife, and his young son, Edgar. The Harewood estate was modest, extending to a few dark hills, deep in the Oxfordshire countryside. Tragedy struck in 1749, when Mr. Harewood lost his son to scarlet fever.
A mixed history then befell Harewood House; it quickly passed from one owner to another. It seems no one wanted to stay long. In later years, the house became a hotel, a maternity hospital, and eventually, in 1968, a children's home known as Shangri-La. Minimum
