Description: Curse of the Sea Rats is a mouse vania game: a handcrafted platformer and adventure game! Its main characters are four British prisoners who were turned into mice by the pirate witch Flora Byrne. They want to get their human bodies back, but to do so they will have to fight dangerous bosses, discover the secrets of the coast of Ireland, and finally capture the very witch who cursed them.
Great graphics and animation. Stunning hand-crafted 2D animation brings the game's characters to life. The artists were inspired by cartoons and classic games from the golden age of 2D platformers. The animation blends seamlessly with the detailed 3D environment, and the lighting and shadows create an incredibly impressive pseudo-3D feel.
Freedom to quest. Make your way through the massive, non-linear game world, trying to track down the pirate witch who cursed you. You've been shipwrecked on the coast of 18th-century Ireland, and you'll need more than just the ability to swing a pirate sword to escape to freedom.
Four playable characters. There are four playable characters at your service: David Douglas, Buffalo Caf, Bussa, and Akane Yamakawa. Each has their own unique fighting style, which you can use to deal with opponents and obstacles! Play solo or with up to three friends in local co-op.
Improvements and tweaks. Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses. As you progress through the game, you can improve their abilities: unlock new special skills, increase defense and attack, and learn powerful magic spells!
A huge adventure. The game will take more than 12 hours, as it is a whole maze of paths and rooms where new discoveries await. Can you master each character's playstyle, find all the secrets, and unlock all available endings?
