. A packed schedule of international matches includes the oldest challenge in Test cricket as Australia tours England, the Test Championship final, and the 2023 World Cup. Test cricket has been infused with a new, aggressive approach in 2022, dubbed “Bazball,” resulting in some of the most exciting matches in history. Our new aggression system, inspired by “Bazball,” utilizes batting ability and natural aggression based on current batting tactics, rather than the type of match being played. A generation of cricketers raised on Twenty20 cricket are naturally more aggressive, meaning many have higher one-day averages than first-class cricket. Batting aggressively to match their natural style can improve performance. Conversely, dropping scores by an average of 12 at most is natural for players in the latter stages of a Twenty20 match or even a Test.
Cricket Captain 2023 also includes historical data for international player rankings and recent player performances, including recent performances in Test, One-Day, and 20-over international cricket. International team rankings have been redesigned using the results of every match over a four-year timeframe. New wicketkeeper statistics are also included, with separate fielding statistics for wickets and fielders, as well as records of runs conceded. Wicketkeepers' abilities are now more accurate.Minimum
