Take command of US heavy and armored combat teams to combat Syrian army combat, mechanized, and armored forces in a barren environment. Experience a full range of modern threats to conventional military forces, including irregular combat forces, terrorists, spies, suicide bombers, IEDs, and other deadly tools used in modern asymmetric warfare. Play the Task Force Thunder campaign, over two dozen carefully choreographed battles, or unlimited quick-fire battles.
How to Play:
Participants are assigned detailed missions to complete based on a variety of objectives. Missions can be played either in real time or in the mixed role mode introduced with the first Combat Mission 20 years ago. Mixed role mode allows you to plan 60 seconds of combat and then watch as both sides execute orders simultaneously. The mixed role system also allows for replaying actions and playing against another player via email (PBEM) or "hotseat" on a single computer. Real-time head-to-head and mixed role play can also be used using TCP/IP over a local area network (LAN) or over the Internet. Massive replayability comes from a unique quick battle system that allows players to purchase their own custom troops and fight on a battlefield of their choice from a wide variety of different maps. A powerful map and scenario editor allows you to create battles or campaigns for yourself and others.Minimum
