Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg (CMFB) follows the Western Allies during the battles along Germany's borders and deep within the heart of the Reich itself. The game covers the period from October 1944 to January 1945, focusing on the American sector of the Battle of the Belgians.
Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg allows you to revisit famous battlefields along the German border, with the main focus being the Winter Battle of the Belgians. This was a period and location where the Wehrmacht was still highly capable at the tactical level, but was almost evenly matched against the American forces facing them. The combination of harsh weather in an unforgiving mountainous environment ensured that the battle would be a challenge for both sides.
Two extensive campaigns offer very different experiences. One focuses on the American forces advancing towards Aachen, the first major German city to fall to the Allies. The other depicts Kampfgruppe Peiper's famous push deep into American lines. It also includes a single training campaign, 25 separate scenarios, and numerous quick-fire maps that will test your tactical acumen and give you easy access to a full range of weather, terrain, and troops from this period and location in time.Minimum
