After the death of his mother, Tomoya Okazaki—a rebellious, sheltered student at Hikarayasaka High School—struggles not only to understand the abusive relationship he has with his alcoholic father, but also to find meaning in his life. While on his way to class one morning, he meets a mysterious girl named Nagisa. She is just as rebellious as he is, but only because she is repeating her senior year, unlike Okazaki, who is constantly late. Through their brief encounter, Nagisa decides they should be friends and enlists Tomoya's help in reviving the school's drama club. Since he is by no means busy, he decides to join. Along the way, the two make friends with several other students and try to find solace and belonging in their endeavors.Minimum
