Information:
The first major battle of the Civil War took place in Georgia, from September 18 to 20, 1863. The Battle of Chickamauga was the largest Union defeat in the Western Theater and had the second-highest death toll of any battle in the Civil War, after the Battle of Gettysburg. Major General William Rosecrans's Army of the Cumberland engaged the Confederate Army of Tennessee, led by General Braxton Bragg.
In early September, Rosecrans had forced Bragg's army to leave Chattanooga and was pursuing them south. Bragg, in an attempt to retake Chattanooga, decided to meet up with part of Rosecrans' army and defeat them, allowing him to return to the city. On the road north, he encountered the Union army.
This game consists of several missions, each addressing a major part of the overall battle. The final mission is a replay of the entire battle in a single game. Because the overall battle took place over a vast area, this final mission is considered on a different scale than the more detailed individual actions.Minimum
