In 2019
, during a covert operation in Verdansk, Kastovia to recover shipments of a dangerous chemical gas bound for Urzikstan, CIA SAC/SOG officer "Alex" is intercepted by unknown enemies who kill his escorting Marine raiders and escape with the gas. Alex's handler, Station Chief Kate Laswell, enlists the help of SAS Commander John Price in recovering the chemicals and de-escalating the situation with Russia. Twenty-four hours later, a suicide bomber group loyal to the terrorist organization Oligarchs attacks Piccadilly Circus in London. SAS Sergeant Kyle Garrick is dispatched to contain the situation with the assistance of Price and the local police. Alex is then sent to Urzikstan to meet with rebel leader Farah Karim, who agrees to join forces in tracking down the chemicals in exchange for his assistance in overthrowing Russian forces led by General Roman Barkov.
