Why is it called "Bring Dad Home"?
Because the game was inspired by my real experience.
It was early 2019, on a dark night in the middle of the month, and my father had only been socializing and drinking a lot. After he got out of the car, the only help I could offer was helping him get home.
I'm not strong, but my father had a huge body.
It was okay at first, but gradually I became physically weak and unable to help him later. My father fell and was injured. I immediately took him to the hospital.
A few days later, our team participated in the 2019 48-hour global game development competition, and we were asked a question about family relationships—"What does home mean to you?"
So, we got started right away, and "Bring Dad Home" was born.
After 48 hours, we won the "Most Popular Game" award in Guangzhou.
At the end of 2019, "Bring Dad Home" was selected as a finalist for the Indie Prize.
