and the Robofriends is a twin-stick arcade-style action game set in the year 2083. The story follows Tom, a young robot who is thrust into battle when his home is attacked by swarms of mindless robots called GARD units. The invaders are searching for a powerful supercomputer called MOTHER, rumored to be hidden somewhere within the massive corporation known as Innovation Robotics. Desperate to feel ready for an upcoming evaluation, Tom searches for his mother. Are this MOTHER computer and his own mother the same person? Does he even have a mother?
With the help of comrades Bray, Reed, and Stu, Tom and the others must fight back against GARD and find the location of the MOTHER computer. As the robots search Innovation Robotics, they come across and rescue helpful robots called Robofriends. Although not built for combat, the Helpful Robots rise to action when rescued by the robots. Helpful Robots offer unique ways to aid you against the invading enemies. From healing your robot, to protecting it with a bubble shield, or even hurling fire at your enemies!
Play by yourself or with friends, choose from four robot characters with unique characteristics and attacks. Use upgradable abilities in battle for fast-paced combat, consuming a resource called Scrap to unlock powerful abilities. Find 20 different types of Robofriends and master their abilities as you immerse yourself in Story Mode or survive in Arcade Mode. Minimum
