One day, a young man named Jason Frednick, known as a genius in robotics engineering, discovered a strange creature unlike anything he'd ever seen before. There were no records of this mysterious creature, so Jason named it "Fred" and took it to his lab to observe it closely. Shortly after, an accident occurred in the lab, and Fred managed to escape. Fred jumped into a hole that seemed to come out of nowhere. Jason followed him, and before he knew what was happening, he found himself in a cave where the "SOPHIA III" combat vehicle was waiting for him. Increasingly curious about this high-tech vehicle, Jason hopped aboard SOPHIA III and began his adventure into the vast underground world in search of Fred. Blaster Master Zero II: Transforming blasting action returns! Join Jason, Eve, and Fred on an intergalactic journey! The side-scrolling/top-down hybrid gameplay returns with an all-new sequel to "Blaster Master Zero"! Experience the untold story of Jason and Eve as they defeat the mutant scourge on Earth as they head into the depths of space in their new tank, the "GAIA-SOPHIA"! The story of Blaster Master Zero 2 begins a few months after the events of the first game (released March 9, 2017), with protagonist Jason saving Earth from the mutant scourge. Eve has been infected with mutant cells that are slowly corrupting her body, so with Jason and Fred, they board the G-SOPHIA and begin an intergalactic journey to Eve's home planet, Sophia, in the hopes of finding a cure for the mutant infection. The perfect blend of space-faring action and Blaster Master's signature gameplay creates a formula for an exciting new experience. Blaster Master Zero III sees series protagonist Jason travel to where the series began, planet Sophia, to rescue series heroine Eve in the final installment of the story!
