Beyond
the Edge of Owlsgard is an old-school point-and-click adventure game reminiscent of Saturday morning cartoons and animated films from decades ago. While clearly inspired by classics produced by LucasArts and Sierra, it also seeks to create its own style and identity by returning to the original "adventure" aspects of the genre. Along with solving the obligatory inventory-based puzzles, this means a heavy emphasis on exploring mysterious lands, uncovering secrets, and dealing with all kinds of dangers.
Strange things are happening in the animal kingdom of Velehill. Unknown, large-looking shadows are seen roaming the forests, making the ground tremble with every step of their hard feet. Houses and trees are destroyed, and animal after animal seems to mysteriously disappear.
Finn, a young reindeer, soon learns that his family has also disappeared. Without hesitation, he sets out on a journey to find them, not knowing that he and his new friend Gwen the owl will soon uncover a dark secret that must remain hidden forever...Minimum
