At its core, AoT:(N)ACDS is a coming-of-age story about a boy/girl who is going to completely destroy humanity. And by humanity, we mean a small coastal city. It's an adventure-RPG based on "Shadow Over Innsmouth," where you control a mysterious terror from beyond time and space! Inspired by classic RPGs, LucasArts adventure games, and other great stuff.
Key Features:
– Strange 2D art with photographic backgrounds. Like the mind theme in all of Lovecraft's works, the art changes—sometimes radically—based on where you are in the game, who you're talking to, and what you're doing.
– Time management is also a factor, as some areas only open at certain times, and you may find yourself unable to train everyone as much as you'd like before the final invasion of Innsmouth.
– A silent hero. A revolutionary.
– A full voice cast of over 60 characters!
– Four hub areas
– Jesus the Whale (but only in the most awesome games)
– Use your wits to engage in battles where words are sharper than swords or other things that actually hurt people! Because no one has ever done conversation-based battles before!
– Recruit a party of thousands (if thousands means six), ranging from deep creatures to night ghouls, all staples of the Lovecraft mythos! Find hidden army units and party members to increase your ranks!
– Do things that relate to other things and provide consequences for your choices! We definitely have more than three different colorful endings! We swear! (At least five! One is even pink!) Minimum
