Enter a dark science fiction visual novel set in a post-apocalyptic world where a mysterious disease called "Picatomania" has ravaged most of humanity. The story revolves around Rust and his sister, wandering empty lands, desperately searching for the last remaining survivors. All other humans are presumed to have fallen victim to this disease, which causes those infected to suffer from insanity, sensory delusions, and uncontrollable destructive urges. The only way to control these symptoms is to spend time inside a virtual game called Archetype Arcadia.
Rust does not suffer from the disease, but when his sister, who is mysteriously afflicted with it, becomes unresponsive one day, he must enter the virtual game and navigate this invisible world to find a solution for his sister. Within the game lies a whole new world filled with people and monsters. This world allows players to use powerful memories and corresponding virtual personalities to battle each other while wearing the game device.
