Akiba: Undead & Undressed takes players on an eclectic journey through Tokyo's "Electric Town" district, where they'll battle vampire-like foes in this highly stylized, high-quality role-playing game. Work to fend off the intense malevolence that has swept through Tokyo's famous electronics district, Akihabara (Akiba for short), which has been carefully recreated in the game to resemble its real-life counterpart. Akiba has been invaded by creatures known as "Synthesters" who prey on Akihabara's otaku patrons like vampires, but feeding on their will to live and energy to socialize rather than their blood. Only direct exposure to sunlight can destroy Synthesters, and it's up to players to ensure that's what they get. If it weren't for those pesky clothes that protect them from the sun's harmful rays... that's where players come in. It's their mission to wander this haven for anime and gaming fans, meeting the seemingly human Synthisters with the help of a handy smartphone app. Then, beat and drag them until they are stripped of their clothes, exposed to sunlight, and sent to the underworld. Everyday objects, from baseball bats to comic books to motherboards, can be used as weapons, and players can take their enemies' unique clothing for personal use as well. Akiba's Journey: Undead & Undressed tells the story of a young man named Nanashi who is lured into a trap and transformed into one of the walking undead. Lucky enough to escape his worst fate with the kiss of a mysterious synth hunter named Shizuku, Nanashi has sworn to rid Akihabara of the synth threat. Nanashi and Shizuku, along with the rest of their comrades in an organization unofficially dubbed the "Akiba Freedom Fighters," must uncover the truth behind the synth plague and save Akiba from being overrun.
