But there's one problem: your top fighter is tired from his last fight and has a shoulder strain. Additionally, he has a history of concussions, so it's fair to say he won't be at his full strength if you put him in the arena. But he's your best. The rest of your gladiators are still novices; they're still working with your trainers and aren't experienced enough to send them into battle yet.
The next fight is in a week and isn't well-promoted. You can't wait that long.
If you're evil-minded, you can execute your best fighter instead and seize his savings. With the battle trophies you've shared with him throughout his career, he's amassed a lot of gold. That could keep you going for a month or two—maybe longer. Something to think about. Minimum
