Our goal was to create a game that simulated space combat between large capital ships with extremely detailed crew-level detail. We spent several years building a custom engine in-house capable of simulating ship interior details with high fidelity while still supporting real-time combat between large numbers of ships in a persistent open world.
The result is a massive open world where any ship, station, asteroid, artifact, or debris can be entered and controlled by the player in real time. Space battles are epic and immersive because there are no hit points; instead, you have to try to survive while parts of your ship are physically destroyed, and ships can be cut in half or filled with holes. Play as a mercenary who raids neutral supply convoys and collects the dropped cargo, or disable and board enemy ships to return them to your hideout. Research technology and upgrade designs to make your favorite vessel the ultimate war machine. The universe is filled with loot, enemies, and objects to explore, and your character will have all the tools necessary to design the ultimate ship and assemble the perfect crew. Minimum
