URG
is a retro-style side-scrolling shooter with beautiful 3D graphics and tons of action with big explosions. URG can be played solo, or in co-op with up to 4 players (there is always a main player and up to 3 sidekicks).
URG stands for Utopos Rocketship Game. URG is a remake of the first game I ever made, 27 years ago on the Atari ST. Back then, the game was called Utopos.
In URG, you fly a rocket ship through a field of asteroids, completing missions to collect items and solve puzzles, while shooting enemies and blowing up asteroids. The game is divided into multiple worlds with different themes, each containing multiple levels. As the game progresses, new worlds are unlocked and new gameplay elements are added in each world.
When you play URG and connect more than one controller, other players can join at any time by pressing the A button on the controller. This will create a sidekick, who acts as a helper to the main player. Sidekicks cannot die. They have two functions: they can provide fire support to the main player, and they can give hearts, which restore health. All players share a screen centered around the main player. If the helper falls off-screen, they can respawn by pressing the A button again.Minimum
