Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded is a type of RPG known as a "Roguelike."
Whenever you enter a new dungeon, your character's level will reset to 1, the dungeon layout will change, and the items you'll find on the ground will be different.
Roguelike games are turn-based, so every time you move one square or perform an action (such as attacking), enemies will get a turn. As long as you stand still, enemies will also stay put.
However, unlike traditional Roguelikes, dungeons in Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded let you keep your items, even if you're defeated! So make sure you collect as many as you can!
