HD Upgrade: The game has been rebuilt and polished by Robomodo using Neversoft's original level models.
Classic Levels: The style and feel of the 7 best levels from THPS and THPS2 (Warehouse, School 2, Mall, Hangar, Venice, Marseille, and Phoenix Downhill Jam) have been updated for today's games. The levels are as specific as the originals - every hole, SKATE letter, etc. is exactly where you remember it but looks so much better!
Top Pros: The game's roster includes today's biggest skateboarding pros, including: Nyjah Haston, Chris Cole, Eric Koston, Andrew Reynolds, Rodney Mullen, Lin-Z Adams, Hawkins Pastrana, Riley Hawk, and, of course, Tony Hawk himself. Each of them has 8 boards, 3 special moves, and an alternate outfit.
Refined Controls: The skater moves, tricks, and combinations reflect the evolution of the THPS games. Animations have been improved, tricks have been redesigned (and some new special tricks have been added), and even "skater celebrations" have been added for big combinations.
Hands and Returns: You can perform hands as part of trick combinations in THPS HD. Since this game combines the best gameplay from THPS1 and THPS2, returns will not work as part of trick combinations in the initial launch of THPS HD, as this mechanic wasn't introduced until THPS3. However, returns will work in post-release DLC content for THPS3 levels, as those levels were originally designed to accommodate this.
Endless Fun Objectives: Players aim to achieve the same world and level-specific objectives as in the original games, including SKATE, the Secret DVD (formerly a VHS tape!), and many more.
In-Game Soundtrack: Consisting of half-and-half classic THPS tracks, including Goldfinger's "Superman" and the Anthrax/Public Enemy collaboration "Bring the Noise."
Downloadable Content: Coming post-launch, the "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 HD Revert Pack" DLC includes levels from THPS3, including the airport, Canada, and Los Angeles. New pros added are legends Steve Caballero and Jeff Rowley.
