The Tomb Raider Trilogy is a single-player action-adventure video game series developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Eidos Interactive and Square Enix . It was released for the PlayStation 3 on March 22, 2011. The Tomb Raider Trilogy series
consists of three games: Tomb Raider: Underworld , Tomb Raider: Anniversary , and Tomb Raider: Legend. The story of each game in Tomb Raider: Underworld revolves around Lara Croft , a girl who is searching for her mother after learning that she is still alive. The game also focuses on who set her house on fire and stole her father's artifacts.The story of this part is complementary to the previous events, as Lara Croft finds some coordinates that led her to the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea, where she discovered the ancient Norwegian civilization, as well as confronting the giant octopus, and also confirmed the presence of Thor's hammer , this legendary weapon of the "god of thunder" Thor. From the bottom of the sea, she obtains Thor's first magical hand, which gives her the energy to pull very heavy objects. However, suddenly Natla's followers appear and obtain this hand, but Lara Croft does not despair , so she heads to their ship and obtains it again. After that, she heads to the coast of Thailand and enters the temple of the gods and obtains information that her father was here before, where she learns that the rest of the information is in his grave. Then she heads to her house to learn that she has a doppelganger who caused the house to burn down. Then she descends to her father's grave and finds a "Cassette" tape and a map that guides her to go to southern Mexico, where she enters the temple. She then heads to Jan Mayen Island where she enters the banquet hall and obtains Thor 's legendary hammer. She then heads to Natla's ship in the Andaman Sea and learns from her where her mother is. She learns that she is in the Arctic Sea, so she goes to the sea and descends to the water temple. There she meets her mother, but finds her transformed by the blue liquid, so she kills her while repeating, "My mother died a long time ago. " Natla then appears and tells Lara Croft that she is the reason for her father's death because he did not cooperate with her and lead her to the gate. Amanda Evert also kills her lookalike and Lara Croft confronts Natla and kills her at the end of the game. Then, Lara Croft and Amanda Evert leave this place through a time portal to find themselves in Nepal. There, they separate and the game ends with Lara Croft believing that her mother has actually died.
While in the "Tomb Raider: Legend" part , the story revolves around "Lara Croft" , who, through her travels around the world, tries to collect the missing pieces of memories and knowledge about her past. In the opening trailer, "Lara Croft" remembers when she was a little girl with her mother when the tragedy occurred in the plane that crashed in the "Himalayas" Mountains. Now, in the prime of her youth, she recalls the memories of those moments and begins her first adventures in the jungles of "Bolivia" in the continent of South America. While the "Tomb Raider: Anniversary" part takes place years before the legendary part "Tomb Raider: Legend" in 1945 and in the "Los Alamos" desert in Mexico specifically, where a nuclear test is being conducted that results in a huge explosion. There, under the sand, lies an ancient machine belonging to the lost city of "Atlantis" , where it opens as a result of the explosion and a winged creature emerges from it in the present time in a hotel. In Kolkata , India, after Lara Croft becomes famous and her reputation spreads, Larson Conway , who works for a businesswoman named Jacqueline Natla , owner of the Natla Technology Company , proposes to her. He asks Lara Croft for help in searching for a legendary piece of Atlantis called Scion and retrieving it for Natla from one of the Inca temples in Peru. However, the road leads her to the Lost Valley where dinosaurs still live. After suffering to obtain the Scion piece , Larson Conway attacks Lara Croft and tries to steal it, but he fails. Lara Croft's adventure begins in search of the secret of this piece, finding the other pieces, and discovering the truth about Natla and that she is one of the kings of the lost city of Atlantis .
