Description: Shapeshifting Detective is an FMV noir puzzle game with supernatural elements and a murder mystery. You are a detective and can investigate a murder and transform into any character. Even the next victim!
Dorota Shaw is dead. And the main suspects are three tarot card readers with the uncanny ability to predict or commit murder. Your mission is to discover what else they know, but they won't reveal their dark secrets to just anyone... Luckily, you can be whoever you want.
The game features over 1,600 high-definition videos, a simple interrogation interface with a unique mechanism for eliminating dialogue options, and the ability to randomly select a killer at the start of the game. Developed by the creators of The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker.
Transformation: You have nine other characters at your disposal to solve the crime, manipulate relationships from different angles, and discover the second half of the story.
Tension: Investigate or prevent a murder without getting caught. Any of the three random killers helps keep spoilers to a minimum.
It's a matter of choice: catch the killer, save the victims, build and break relationships—or don't.
Problem-solving: Is it possible to get that vital clue yourself? Try to become the chief of police. Do you feel like the dialogue options are a trap? Delete them.
100% full-motion video: Comprehensive gameplay with uninterrupted full-motion video and first-person responses.
Trigger events: Not all transformations have only two options. Back someone into a corner and they may have multiple courses of action.
Additional information: Checked at 9:00, screenshots are mine. The interface language can be changed in the game settings. My game freezes periodically with a black screen. A full restart of the game helps, and it continues from the same place.
