Information about
the latest release in the RPG Maker series: RPG Maker MZ.
RPG Maker has a long history of allowing anyone, regardless of skill level, to create a game. And in the summer of 2020, the latest and most powerful version, RPG Maker MZ, will be available to help you create your game.
With new features and improvements to old ones, this version of RPG Maker is set to be the best one yet!
Map Editor
With the map editor in RPG Maker, you can create maps more easily than you can draw a picture. Choose the tiles you want to use and "draw" them onto your maps. Thanks to powerful improvements from the map editor in previous versions of RPG Maker, and a wealth of new tiles, you can build countless cities and dungeons for your players!
A feature incredibly missing from RPG Maker XP returns with MZ! Map layer monitoring is back. You can now select which of the four map layers you draw, or leave it on automatic to preserve the behavior of MV. This gives you more control over making your maps look the way you want, plus it speeds up the map creation process: no need to rework an entire tile because you made a mistake in one layer or want to change the underlying layer!Minimum
