Description: Rogue Legacy is back! And it's caught the devil somewhere!
Rogue Legacy 2 is a LITE roguelike genealogy game. This means that with all the features of a regular roguelike (or roguelike) game - procedural generation of walkthroughs, character changes, etc. - you still have constant updates and heirs who keep dying. In this game, both children and parents make choices! Lose your parents' inheritance and rebuild the family estate so your children don't have to start from scratch. Every child is unique, with their own characteristics and abilities. Your daughter might be a tracker. A vegetarian, too. And every time we get something new. Rogue Legacy 2 lets you play at your own pace. Tap and slash your way deeper into the procedurally generated world. Or sit back and develop your character until you feel ready to take on more serious challenges.
Every adventure is unique. New monsters, new traps, and new plans every time you enter the kingdom. This is a world where success comes not from memory, but from improvisation.
New, impossibly cool classes. Each class plays differently. Hide behind ivy canopies and rain poison darts as a Ranger! Soar through the skies as a dragon and bird spearman, shooting down enemies at breakneck speed! Or sing and dance like a jubilant bard, leaving behind only the corpses of your enemies! Rogue Legacy 2 introduces 15 new classes and 15 playstyles.
A new style. In Rogue Legacy 2, we're trying a new artistic approach. A sequel in pseudo-3D (2.5D) style: with 3D character models against hand-drawn backgrounds. Shading was actively used in the graphic design, and animation was implemented using a step-by-step method. This way we maintain the familiar style and style of RL.
Updated biome generation. When creating biomes, we went to great lengths to make each area in RL2 feel unfamiliar. Each biome is set up in its own way and represents completely different lands, but it is still procedurally generated. A
true Metroidvania. To capture the true Metroidvania feel, we added Family Heirlooms to RL2, which give the heroes new abilities to unlock the world's secrets. No "There's a lock here, you need a key"! These abilities significantly change the gameplay. And family heirlooms aren't just thrown away. You have to prove your worth. That is, if you find them, of course.
Features 2.0. RL had a problem: with the loss of novelty, many features became less enjoyable. Here, we've added a gold reward to motivate players to take on new challenges. The harder the game, the higher the gold reward. Thanks to this, choosing an heir will become a tactical move.
Relics and Grit. One of the coolest new features in Rogue Legacy 2 is collecting relics and unique items that make a difference to your gameplay. Get stat modifiers, complete special challenges, and even gain new abilities as you travel through the kingdom. But be careful: the more relics you collect, the weaker your Grit becomes. And when a hero dies, all relics are lost.
Greater availability. We're taking accessibility to the next level by letting you set your own rules. Increase contact damage, improve overall damage and health, or even enable flying in difficult areas using platforms. We're giving you complete control over your game. You'll also find new mechanics, such as the ability to withdraw funds from abroad—to help those players who find it difficult to progress further.
A rich story. The plot of the Rogue Legacy universe has not only grown significantly in the sequel, but also deepened. New plot discoveries await you in all new playthroughs. Beating the game once is just the beginning. Learn about the inevitable fall of the once-prosperous kingdom and uncover the dark secrets of those responsible. And also communicate and build relationships with all the characters you meet along the way.
New Game+ for days and months. After defeating the final boss in RL2, everything is just beginning. You still have a lot of unknowns and untested things for future playthroughs. You must decide how the game will become more challenging, from the appearance of unique traps in biomes to battles with special bosses. The gameplay will change, allowing you to play almost forever.
Everything else, a lot. Of course, everything players loved about Rogue Legacy will still be there, only more. More traits, spells, classes, biomes, enemies, equipment, rooms, history. More secrets... just more of everything.
Clown anthropology!
And that's not all! This is just a small part of what's in Rogue Legacy 2. Scar's trials, the fairy rooms, the curiosity shop... I could go on. But geeks read on! And go discover the world of Rogue Legacy 2 for yourself!
