Road Rash is the name
of a motorcycle racing video game series from Electronic Arts, in which the player participates in illegal and violent street races. The game was originally released for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis but was ported to several other systems. Six different games were released between 1991 and 1999, and a licensed version was released in 2004 for the Game Boy Advance. Road Rash and two of its sequels later appeared in the EA Replay collection for the PSP. The game's title is based on the slang term for the severe friction burns that can occur in a motorcycle fall where the skin contacts the ground at high speed. Electronic Arts' insane motorcycle racing series transitions from cartoons to polygonal forms for its second game on the 32-bit PlayStation. Three game modes are available in Road Rash 3D: Thrash, Big Game, and Time Trials. "Thrash" involves choosing a bike and track before testing your driving skills and battling against computer-controlled opponents. "Big Game" features a career-style progression system where you advance to different cross-country tracks, earning money along the way to purchase new bikes and upgrades. "Time Trials" requires you to attempt to race each track as fast as possible, and you'll be able to alternate turns with a second player to determine who is the fastest rider. The soundtrack includes licensed songs from artists such as CIV, Full on the Mouth, Kid Rock, the Mermen, Sugar Ray, and the Tea Party. Features: * Features 3D graphics and 100 miles of interconnected roads * Use chains, clubs, and your hands to take out the competition * Includes four gangs and 12 high-performance motorcycles Manufacturer's Description: The ultimate battle to the finish line! Road Rash returns in stunning 3D!
