In Proven Lands, survival is our strongest concept. The story starts with a stranded astronaut—you. You face hunger, thirst, strange animals, weather, and even nature itself. Try the initial demo and try to survive for a few days. At this point, you can eat everything with your helmet on (for demonstration purposes), but because we're aiming to be a hard-core sci-fi game of the future, you'll have to take your helmet off first before you can eat anything. Your initial spacesuit is weak and outdated. However, you'll need an armored one to survive against stronger animals and armed aliens later on—oh, and you'll need better weapons than an axe.
Once you've mastered the first terrain environment (the desert), there's plenty more to discover, such as plains, savannah-like environments, forests, large rivers, caves, and different planet types like ice or volcanoes—each packed with tons of elements and characters. The game's AI mentor will track your influence in an area, so after a while, smarter animals, and maybe even aliens, will start attacking you. But we start with simple alien villagers and give you a fairly basic story. Because it's a sci-fi survival game, you can build smaller devices, machines, and factories, before upgrading your "camp" to a small one-person outpost—similar to an advanced camp in Don't Starve, but deeper, bigger, and more sci-fi.
