Information
EA is changing the game with NBA Elite, a reimagined basketball brand that aims to revolutionize how players play on the court. The game introduces several significant gameplay changes focused on user control. The “Direct Control” system allows for individual responses to a player’s movement and actions on the court, rather than pre-defined animations that require users to wait for a scenario to play out before taking the next step. Direct Control applies to everything within a player’s offensive and defensive arsenal, including dribbles, dunks, drives, dropbacks, mid-air adjustments, blocks, steals, and more. NBA Elite 11’s real-time physics system allows each player on the court to move independently of one another, eliminating the two-way interactions that have long taken control out of basketball simulations. Additionally, the skill-based shooting system requires precise user input based on the player’s position on the court, rather than the random rolls of a dice that have driven shooting in basketball games of the past. The game also comes with a one-time download code for a custom copy of the 2010 edition of NBA Jam, created as a gift for NBA Elite buyers and featuring high-resolution graphics.
