In Morphblade, you move around a grid slicing, smashing, and exploding waves of ugly red bugs. Each tile you move onto transforms you into a different weapon: on the Hexblades, you can slice enemies on either side of you; on the Arrow, you can launch yourself through two enemies in a row. Between waves, you choose how to build the grid, upgrading your most used Hexblades with new abilities.
Killing bugs earns you upgrades for your Hexblades, and each type of Hexblade can be crossbred with every other type to take on some of their properties. Upgrade an Arrow with Acid, and it will be able to kill armored enemies. Upgrade a Hammer with Blades, and you will be able to kill three enemies at once without moving. Upgrade the Teleporter with Repair, and you will be healed every time you move.
