Kinetic Void is a 3D space adventure focused on customization and exploration. The Shipyard allows players to build their ship piece by piece. Ships can be as simple as the cockpit, hull, engine, and cannon, or as complex as the player desires. Each module has available subsystems that can be applied to enhance certain ship attributes, and upon damage, those subsystems may be destroyed. While flying through space, interactions between objects are governed by the physics engine. A high-speed collision with an asteroid will cause damage to your ship, and the consequences could be disastrous. Using a Kinetic Field Generator (KFG) in the game will allow your ship to create artificial gravity around it, protecting it and allowing it to fly freely through space. This field will also enable the use of a micro-glide engine, which will launch your ship far into space in seconds. Kinetic Void is a procedurally generated adventure, and there is no main story. Decisions and direction are left to the player. Ally with factions, go to war, build your ship, and amass wealth—the choices are yours.
