JEF
is a strange third-person adventure game.
You wake up as an alien from Karzalinx, without knowing your name or how you got there. Soon, you discover that your planet has been taken over by a giant evil spa cult. You must find a way to escape through an alien neural network that can take you to various alien settlements throughout the universe. Your goal is to reach Earth, where the aliens are trying to right the wrongs of humans by doing things like forcing former billionaires to assemble IKEA furniture for regular people. Amidst all the confusion on a newly colonized planet, you hear about an abducted scientist who can help you figure out what your name means.
*** The game takes about an hour if you go at a normal pace. It might take you an additional hour or two to complete all the achievements.
*** This game is more about the experience and less about mechanics, strategy, high scores, etc. It may not be for everyone.
*** It is resource-intensive. I like trying to make these experiences look as nice as possible. The lowest rig I was able to test was 8GB of memory and an NVidia GTX780ti. If you could use anything less, let me know!
Some quotes from the pre-release stream:
"Whatever this stuff this guy takes to make this stuff, I hope he overdoses on it next time."
"Like if you put one of those bingo cages on and every number was a different conspiracy theory, that's his brain lol."
"No wonder this guy hates rich people, because he doesn't know how to handle his damn money, just like everyone else who hates rich people. Take one responsibility in your life."
"This is cute in a weird way."
"Communist propaganda garbage."
"My Italian teacher once taught us about our chakras instead of teaching us Italian." Minimum
