God of War Origins Collection is an action -adventure video game developed by Ready at Dawn and SCE Santa Monica Studio Interactive and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released on September 13, 2011 in North America, on September 16, 2011 in Europe, on September 29, 2011 in Australia, and on October 6, 2011 in Japan. It was released on the PS3 and PSVT platforms only. The "God Of War Origins Collection"
series contains two parts: " God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta " and "God Of War: Chains Of Olympus", where we will know the story of each part. In "God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta", the story revolves around a fortune teller who informed the gods of Olympus that the end of Olympus would be at the hands of a mortal warrior. The Olympian gods "Zeus" and "Ares" believed that this warrior was "Deimos", the brother of "Kratos", due to the strange birthmarks that were on his body.
While "Kratos" and "Deimos" were two boys in training, "Ares" besieged the village with "Athens", and "Ares" kidnapped
"Deimos", thinking that he was the warrior in question. Kratos tried to save his brother, but Ares struck him in the right eye, blinding him and preventing him from doing so. Ares tried to kill Kratos for going too far, but Athena stopped him , saying, "We have what we came for: a marked warrior. " Athena apologized to Kratos, and Ares and Athena set out from the village. Deimos was sent to the Land of the Dead to be imprisoned and tortured by Thanatos, the god of death. As Kratos
sat on his throne, he had visions of his past as a mortal warrior.Despite Athena's warning, Kratos decided to discover more about his past, so he headed to Poseidon's temple in Atlantis . Poseidon tried to prevent Kratos from entering the city by sending a monster called Sıla.But after several rounds with the monster, it ended with Sıla being killed and Kratos arriving in the city of Atlantis. There, Kratos found his mother , Callisto, who was lying on her bed, clearly showing signs of approaching death. She revealed to him his father's identity in a vague voice because she was unable to speak. She also revealed to him that his brother , Deimos, was still alive and was now being tortured in the Land of the Dead. Suddenly, his mother , Callisto , transformed into a hideous creature that tried to kill Kratos, forcing Kratos to kill the monster, who was his mother. He killed her and she returned to her human form. With her last breaths, she thanked him and asked him to search for his brother Deimos in Sparta. Before Kratos left Atlantis , he encountered the Titan Thera while she was imprisoned. He freed her, causing a flood that destroyed Atlantis. After Kratos killed Irene, the daughter of the god of death, at the Aronian Pass, he arrived in Sparta , where his former soldiers glorified him. On his way to the Temple of Ares , he found a group of Spartans with their leader, the Last Spartan , destroying a statue of Ares to replace it with a statue of Kratos . Kratos then headed to the prisons of Sparta to pursue a rebel loyal to Ares who tried to kill Kratos by freeing the Lion of Piraeus. The rebel and the Pyrrha lion were both killed . Kratos returned to the Temple of Ares , and after meeting his ghostly counterpart as a child, he remembered that he must return to Atlantis to find the land of death and rescue his brother.The Last Spartan gave Kratos his former weapons as a gift, called the Weapons of Sparta . Kratos then left . After Kratos left Sparta , he returned to Atlantis. When his ship approached the sunken city, Poseidon's minions sank it , killing all the crew. The ship sank, and while Kratos was deep under the sea, a statue of Poseidon spoke through the sea god himself to- Kratos warned him that he would pay the price for destroying his kingdom and would never be forgotten. After Kratos crossed the ruins of the city, the Gravedigger warned him not to anger the gods. Finally, Kratos found the gate to the Land of the Dead, where he entered the Land of the Dead and eventually found his imprisoned brother Deimos and freed him. Deimos was furious at his brother for not saving him sooner, and he told him that he would never forget his deed and would never forgive him. A struggle ensued between the two brothers, until Deimos beat Kratos upFinally, Thanatos, the god of death, took Deimos to a cliff and committed suicide. Kratos followed them, and there Deimos almost fell off the edge of the cliff. Kratos prevented his brother from falling, so they reunited. Kratos gave Deimos the weapons of Sparta tofight Thanatos. They fought together until Thanatos transformed into a great black monster, killing Deimos . Kratos rageduntil he killed the god of death with every fury. Kratos carried his slain brother's body up the mountain. There, a grave was prepared, dug by a gravedigger. Deimos was buried, and Kratos usedthe weapons of Sparta as his tombstone. Kratos stepped onto the cliff of suicide and asked himself, "By the gods, what have I become?" The gravedigger replied, "Death... destroyer of worlds." Kratos turnedto look at him, but he disappeared and Athena appeared from the gate, telling him that his ties with the mortal world were over, and now he was ready to become a god. Athena tried to elevate him to godhood, but he stopped her in anger. As he walked to the gate and returned to his throne, Athena said, "Forgive me... brother." At this point, Athena revealedthat she and Kratos were siblings. Finally, Kratos appeared , sitting on his throne in his new god armor. He looked vengeful towards all the gods for betraying him. While in the "God Of War" part:Chains of Olympus tells the story of
Kratos, the apparent warrior, the hero of the gods, who receives a new request from the chief god Zeus to defend the Greek city of Attica , which is being attacked by the Persian army. Then Kratos must sacrifice his choice to save the world over staying with his daughter . During his fight with Persephone , Kratos imprisons Atlas and forces him to carry the Earth Pillar on his back as punishment . After defeating Persephone , Kratos returns to Earth, freeing Helios on the sky horses. The game ends with Kratos falling from the sky horses and landing next to Athena and Helios , who strip him of his weapons and praise his courage and strength , stating that he still serves the gods with dedication and success.
