Delirium
is a first-person psychological horror game, built from the ground up exclusively for VR. A small, indie game built around larger themes of loss, lust, and self-destructive misery. It's the story of John and Anna, who moved into a long-abandoned house and disappeared within 30 days, without a trace.
Key Features:
Exploration-based: The focus is on exploring this house and discovering its secrets through each room and secret areas.
Narrative-driven: The entire game is based on a narrative about this house and its inhabitants. It invites the player to explore the world to uncover the story.
VR-exclusive First-person: A VR-exclusive first-person game where everything from environments to interactivity was built with VR in mind. Atmosphere
: A cinematic game that relies on atmosphere to effectively convey the sense of anxiety and turmoil that the house imposes. A horror game relies less on monsters and more on the dark atmosphere of its world. The air itself should feel heavy with impending dread to convey the essence of psychological horror.
Puzzles/Gameplay: There are locked doors and secret locations that require a combination lock, puzzle, or key item to navigate.
Audio Logs: Audio logs are scattered throughout the place, providing a primary firsthand account of the tragedies that befell the previous inhabitants and what happened to them during the 30 days.
Finally, I would like to say that this is a short game made by one person that tries to be ambitious despite its small scope. It is purely independent in its atmosphere and a modest homage to all the classic horror games and cinema that inspired it. Minimum
