Carcassonne
is a modern classic tile-placing game based on the award-winning game Carcassonne, in which players drag and place a tile featuring a piece of the landscape of southern France. The tile can contain a city, a road, a monastery, farmland, or a combination thereof, and must be placed adjacent to tiles that have already been played, connecting cities to cities, roads to roads, and so on. The player can then decide to place one of their followers, known as a Meeple, in one of the areas on it: in the city as a knight, on the road as a thief, in the monastery as a monk, or on the grass as a farmer. When that area is completed, that meeple earns points for its owner. Each new game is a new experience thanks to the constantly changing landscape.
During a game of Carcassonne, players face decisions such as: "Is it really worth placing another meeple here?" or "Should I use this tile to expand my city, or should I place it near my opponent's instead, making it harder for them to complete their objective and score points?" Because players place only one tile and have the option to place one meeple on it, turns move quickly, even if the game is packed with options and possibilities.Minimum
