Information
You wake up as a dwarf, confined in an exosuit with no memory of the past. Surrounding you are the walls of an ancient temple. Your only guides are mysterious shrines. Your sole ally is a friendly robot—the suit's support unit. You emerge from the temple to discover that its builders have long since forgotten. Humans have settled over the ruins of the old empire. Violent monsters roam the land. Dangerous insects lurk in the shadows. Rusted ancient machines continue to dig toward the world's core with the same tenacity they had the day they were abandoned. At the center of all this is you—the last guardian of an ancient ship, with your only weapon—the bombs produced by your suit.
Bombing Quest stays true to the classic bomberman battle mechanic—you fight over a grid, planting bombs that explode in four directions. Once inside the grid, you need to think strategically about where and when to plant bombs to damage enemies without taking damage yourself. As you progress through the game, enemies will become faster and smarter and develop more varied attacks and behaviors, requiring you to respond and adapt quickly. You'll find components and tools to upgrade your combat suit to produce more powerful bombs, increase your health and speed, grant you new abilities, and more.
The game is divided into biomes and is semi-open—meaning you walk around freely and choose when and where to fight, but you must progress through the story to unlock the next biome. Each biome has its own appearance and enemies, often requiring a different strategy to be effective. It contains one or more bosses. There is a different sub-story related to each one, often with its own story line. Missions begin by interacting with characters you meet around the game world. Some missions require working across multiple biomes. Minimum
