Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition is an action-adventure video game developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Eidos Interactive , Square Enix , and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It was released on August 25, 2009 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
The story of the game begins with the villain Joker being transferred to Arkham Prison by Batman because he attacked the office of the mayor of Gotham , but no one knows what is in the mind of the Joker until he arrives at Arkham Prison . He was planning to take control of the prison with the help of the security guard and his special assistant, Harley Quinn . Indeed , Joker succeeded in escaping from the guards and taking control of the prison. He threatened them that he had placed bombs scattered in Gotham City and would detonate them. He kidnapped hostages, including a group of guards and Inspector Jordan , by freeing all the prisoners and giving them weapons. Batman was alone and had to control the situation and rescue the hostages from the hands of the prisoners. Oracle was helping him through earphones to determine the places he was going to. During the game, Batman must show his spying skills to know Joker's plan that made him come to the prison.
