Aliens Versus Predator 2 is a first-person shooter
for PC. Players can choose to start a campaign as an Alien, Predator, or Marine, each with their own unique abilities and weapons. The Marine plays like a standard shooter, requiring the player to pick up weapons, ammo, and health items. The Wee Land-Utan Corporation also employs a group of mercenaries, under the command of the dismissed General Rykov, to protect the facility. Over time, observation pods are set up to monitor an industrial xenomorph cell. The screen displays the player's health percentage as well as their armor. Some of the weapons include flamethrowers, miniguns, grenade launchers, rocket launchers, and smart weapons.
The Predator, on the other hand, has superior weapons and abilities but also uses stealth to adequately hunt down opponents. The Predator's weapons are designed for hunting and include: wrist blades, the tribe's "Combustik" spear, a speargun, a plasma pistol, a shoulder cannon that fires plasma balls, a bladed disk, remote bombs, and a net gun for trapping enemies. In single-player mode, the Predator can also hack certain circuit boards using a charging device. On planet LV1201, ancient alien ruins have been discovered. The Wee Land-Utan Corporation is setting up a research facility in the area to study and uncover the secrets of the fossils. When xenomorph (alien) eggs are found, Dr. Eisenberg is assigned to lead the scientific progress.
