Information:
Many developers have forgotten what makes a fun platformer.
In my opinion, we should forget about giant, repetitive mazes and go back to basics:
many game makers have tried to make games that are sometimes beautiful, but they get extremely boring after completing the same levels over and over again.
I just want to make a linear platformer where the player can't get lost, as is sadly the case in modern productions.
Story:
You are the mysterious Darko, whose face no one has ever seen.
If you played the first part, "Through the Demon Realm," you might have discovered that Darko was a demon. (Spoiler: Let the female zombie kill you!)
Gameplay:
Just one button to jump and one button to attack, that's it! (No RPG elements, but lots of weapons to pick up! Sometimes you'll steal the weapon of an enemy you've defeated!)
Today, platformers (especially metroidvanias) are like some open-world games:
huge games where you can go anywhere, but often filled with the same kind of monsters... boring and repetitive.
I want the player to not get bored, so the levels are less expansive, more linear, and more varied.
Through the Demon Realm 2 aims to surprise you in ways few previous games have by introducing constant changes in the environment, traps, monsters, dialogues, and story surprises!
Most importantly, you will never get lost in a huge level where all the walls are the same!
Use your keyboard or a controller to play (I haven't tried other controllers, but if they're modern enough, you should use them!)
Warning: I'm sorry about this, but the start (pause) button doesn't work. You must use the "esc" key on your keyboard to pause.Minimum
