Spooklands is a game genre that's difficult to define. Why? You'll understand now. The gameplay is divided into three infinite levels: the Amazon, the Spider's Nest, and the Graveyard of the Dead. Each of them is a playing field where you'll be attacked from different directions by dozens of different types of monsters. Your task is to survive in this meat grinder for as long as possible. With every second, the number of enemies increases, and you'll be attacked by ever more dangerous creatures. The situation is further complicated by the fact that the developers didn't give your character the ability to move independently; all you can do is shoot at approaching monsters, while you'll be thrown back in the opposite direction. We're faced with a game whose genre can be defined as a shooting and survival "arena."
